Christmas Presents Needed for those in Rehab. Support people ready to choose recovery and better their lives
Christmas 2025
GIVIT
At Christmas time our organisation will have 20 men and 10 women putting their recovery first over spending the holiday with their family and loved ones. There are also many people in our service at this time who have lost their family and loved ones through their addiction. In both situations, there is a sense of loneliness, rejection and heartache through the Christmas period.
When people come into AOD rehabilitation, they often, come to us with nothing. They have no money, debt, minimal belongings. They really are at rock bottom.
Christmas time is hard for those we support, making it important for us to let the community show them the love and support they need to make it through this time. Recovery is not an easy journey, it’s one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. It is relying on others to help them. It’s at this time we ask the community to donate items to build them a small Christmas present, showing them, the community is backing their recovery too.
