A young mother and her 3-year-old daughter have recently had to leave their home in Millingimbi to move to Darwin so her little girl can receive ongoing medical care for Joubert Syndrome — a rare and lifelong condition.
This move has meant starting over from scratch, far from the comfort of home and community. While the mother’s main priority is her daughter’s health and wellbeing, she now faces the challenge of establishing a safe, stable life for them both in a new city.
