Between supporting 5 children with additional support needs, unexpectedly having to homeschool one child this year due to debilitating anxiety, coping with their own mental health challenges, and caring for elderly relatives, parents have devastatingly lost their family business, and been unable to work consistently. While the lead up to Christmas with young children should be filled with excitement, it has left the parents full of dread and stress this year as they are struggling to afford daily essentials, let alone Christmas presents for their 5 eager children.
