Young first nations student is re entering year 11 after an extended exemption period due to her mental health

16 year old young person has had an extended exemption period from school and is now re entering year 11 in term 4 due to her mental health and unstable living conditions.
Young person is now staying with family members who are providing a more stable home and supportive with encouragement to gain support around her mental health wellbeing and reengaging in her education. Young person will be entering year 12 next year however this will not ensure she graduates due to her low attendance this year, however the school will support her to have a successful education for year 12 and we will all support her to gain training and workplace exposure.
To allow this person to be successful she will require a laptop to use in class and complete homework assigned for subjects. The school has stated they can lend her a laptop but she will require her own for year 12. Young person has successfully attended her mental health appointments for the last 5 weeks and this will continue.
