50 year old man with a high needs autistic son
GIVIT
This man has a high needs teenage son who has been diagnosed as non-verbal autistic. He was also diagnosed himself as autistic 10 years ago. He lives with his son in public housing. The son is on the NDIS, gets speech therapy, social support and music therapy. His life has been devoted to looking after his son. They have struggled to make ends meet.
He receives the Disability Support Pension and Carer's Payment from Centrelink.
Recently, his washing machine broke down and it is unusable. Due to the high cost of living and living off benefits he is unable to afford a new appliance. Any support we can offer this man would be greatly appreciated.
