Fridge / Freezer required for breakfast and lunch clubs
Our school has secured funding to continue a Breakfast Club and to commence a Lunch Club to provide breakfasts and lunches to many of our students. Many families within our school community are finding economic times tough with the increased cost of living., Many students come to school without having had breakfast and many do not bring a lunch. Some families are keeping their children home due to the shame in not being able to provide their child with a lunch. Our families are from varied backgrounds; many refugee, First Nation & migrant families. Our school community is a beautiful one; the kids are amazing. We have secured the delivery of meals through a program called 'Eat Up' where they will deliver 300 meals (sandwiches, yoghurts, fruit) every 3 weeks for all of this year. We are in need of a fridge/freezer to store them. After breakfast program, kids that don't have a lunch will be able to go to the Wellbeing room where a youth worker will help them pack a lunch in a lunchbox.
