These children in Out of Home Care are living with a family member after enduring unimaginable trauma — exposure to abuse, neglect, and instability that no child should ever experience. Each child has complex medical and mental health needs, including ADHD, requiring ongoing treatment and support. The family lost everything in the floods and, without insurance, are still rebuilding from nothing. There are currently no floor coverings, no heating or cooling, and no bedding or linen in the home. These children have been exposed to violence, drugs, housing instability, food insecurity and upheaval without warning. Despite these hardships, their carer is really trying hard to provide love and safety. Your donation can help give these children the basic comfort, connection, joy and dignity every child deserves.
