A resilient mum and her two boys are rebuilding their lives in Australia after fleeing PNG due to violence.

The family consists of a mother and her two teenage sons who have been living in Australia for the past two years. Initially, they were supported in a host family property and, more recently, transitioned into supported accommodation for families experiencing homelessness.
Since arriving in Australia, the mother has demonstrated resilience and determination by completing her studies and securing employment as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). Her two sons are enrolled in high school and are exploring opportunities for part-time employment to contribute to the household.
Despite these positive steps, the family continues to face financial challenges. The mother’s income remains low, making it difficult to consistently access essential day-to-day items and maintain financial stability.
