This family has experienced significant and ongoing Domestic and Family Violence which has affected them in a myriad of ways. Mum has had interactions with many services which have left her feeling unsupported, unsafe and not listened to as the expert of her own life. Now it's different. When we asked her what she needed to continue her healing and support for her son, she outlined that practical support is where she needs to start so that she can ensure home is a safe, comfortable and happy home for her child. Your support will mean that mum can experience what it means to have her voice listened to, believed and supported which we know is important in the experience of healing from trauma. Please help this family receive basic household items that will allow them to feel a sense of control again and begin the next steps in their journey of recovery.
