I am working with a very proactive young person who is about to become a first-time mum. Through her own health issues (which she has, unfortunately many), she has been diligent in her responsibilities in becoming a new parent. She has had a traumatic childhood and looks forward to supporting her child in a way she did not receive it when she was a child. This young person has so much resilience as she strives forward in her future and is able to advocate for herself when she needs support. This is one of those times. Due to a high-risk pregnancy (and the multitudes of appointments that came with it), we are in need of support for baby items whilst also navigating a form of stable and appropriate housing for her.
