We are seeking a foldable wheelchair for a 6-year-old girl who recently arrived in Australia as a refugee with her family. She lives with both mobility and intellectual disabilities, and her parents are currently unemployed, facing significant language barriers, and adjusting to life in a new country.
This young girl requires weekly medical appointments, which involve over an hour of travel on public transport. Without a wheelchair, these journeys are extremely difficult and exhausting for both her and her parents. A lightweight, foldable wheelchair would make a tremendous difference—helping her attend appointments safely and with dignity, while easing the burden on her family.
