2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
First Nations Support
Ready to Learn
This 40 yo indigenous woman is the mother of 10 children (who are not currently in contact with her). This woman has been homeless and sleeping rough in tent city for the past 5 months. This woman describes her situation as being displaced in her own country since the impact of TC Alfred. Her tent has been destroyed by the winds and the floods and all of her belongings are gone and beyond repair. She only has the clothes on her back and had to find a blanket which we found in a bin. This woman is normally highly resillient but the impact of the natural disaster has affected her mental health and her Schizophrenia has significantly worsened. (She is currently medicated for the Schizophrenia). Although her strength shows, her will to live and keep going is declining. She is working diligently to find suitable accommodation without success, she has been let go from her place of employment. She needs basic care needs and hygiene products urgently. Please help this displaced woman.
