2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Mother is a single mother with six children with no other family or relatives in Australia. She feels very isolated without family support in Australia. her family are in refugee camps in another country after fleeing. When TC Alfred hit the suburb she lives in with her children she suffered serious water damage to her rented property and lost very important household and personal items. The children are age between 2 and 14. They lost toys, clothing and furniture was ruined by flood waters. Post TC Alfred daily life is even more challenging beyond the economic crisis as she has injured her leg and may need surgery.
