When our client lost his home to the floods, he believed help would lead him back to safety. Repairs finally began—only to be stopped halfway when asbestos was discovered. With no home and no answers, he moved between friends’ couches, carrying exhaustion, grief, and deep uncertainty. The long silence from authorities broke his spirit, and he turned to alcohol to cope. Through counselling and a de-addiction program, he found the strength to keep going. After nearly three years, rebuilding has finally restarted. He has lost almost all his furniture in the floods. Now that his house is getting back to shape, his recovery is fragile. Our client still needs stable support to complete this journey. Your donation can help turn this fragile hope into lasting dignity, and home once again.
