Homeless/Non- speaking English young women with disabled child

GIVIT
Client and her daughter arrived in Australia on a refugee VISA in August 2024. Client has been living in crisis accommodation in Brisbane since May 2025. Client's situation of single parenting a child with special needs with no support while being a newly resettling refugee is of concern. The lack of a fixed address has also been a long-term barrier to enrolling child into appropriate child-care while she attends English classes. Client’s mental wellbeing is being impacted by ongoing stress, social isolation, and uncertainty regarding long-term housing. Without consistent and targeted family support, there is a risk of further deterioration in client’s wellbeing, which could in turn affect her ability to continue meeting child’s needs at the current high level.
