Three young siblings, who have lost their dad — a dedicated Victoria Police member — will be joining other children at this year’s Victoria Police Legacy Youth Camp. For them, the camp is more than a holiday; it’s a safe space where they can connect with peers who understand their grief, find support, and create brighter memories together.
This year, we hope to give them the chance to experience something new — the joy of fishing. With donated rods, gear, or vouchers to purchase equipment, these children can join in moments of learning and laughter by the water, just like their fellow campers.
Fishing at camp is more than just casting a line — it’s about building confidence, learning new skills, and finding joy in the simple moments of connection. For these three siblings, it will also mean treasured memories of time spent together, supported by their VPL community.
