KB lives in a social housing property with her six children and niece (kinship care). The children attend the local primary schools and high school. Two the four adolescent have casual jobs at the local McDonalds. KB shared she recently lost a friend and family member which has impacted both her physical and mental health. KB accesses support through her GP (whom she has known for 15 years) and is working on improving her physical and mental health. KB shared that in the past she has experienced domestic violence with the father of her children. KB shared feeling safe now and has a healthier relationship with the kids’ father (they do not live in the same house).
KB has shared that living with the grief and having a busy household has impacted on her capacity to keep on top of property care. KB shared that the mice infestation has been a problem in this property since she moved in. KB is confident she can improve her property care.
