Family homeless after 2022 floods, placed in temporary accommodation, recently signed a lease, needing support.
This family of four, mum, dad, and two primary school aged children with special needs became homeless after the 2022 floods in NSW. The family was taken in by a person known to them. This person became unsafe for the children to be around and experienced abuse from this person. The family was then placed into temporary accommodation by way of a motel room where they have been staying for over a year. When this family left the home of the person known to them that person then threw away what minimal belongings they owned. They recently signed a lease for a home. The family are starting their life all over again and will require assistance to furnish their new home. The parents are wanting to provide a safe and habitable home for their children so that they can grow and thrive in their new home after experiencing family and domestic violence and trauma. The family are experiencing financial hardship and cannot purchase everything they require. Family would appreciate some support.
