My client is a young person who arrived in Australia two years ago as a refugee. He has a physical and intellectual disability and was only recently approved for NDIS. This has been a huge relief for the family as they are experiencing financial hardship, and have not been able to support him completely in his interests and hobbies as these are considered extras.

My client's disabilities haven't stopped him from living to the fullest. He loves going out and experiencing the world. He wants to learn English now that he has a better support system. Another great interest of his is photography and videography. Using his phone, he has captured many joyous family moments and have turned these to video clips complete with music. My client is very proud of these videos and loves showing them to family, friends and visitors. His parents are also very deligted with his work.

This interest keeps my client occupied and supports his mental wellbeing, and it means a lot to him
