My client comes from a refugee background and is seeking asylum in Australia. She has been experiencing severe financial hardship due to not having work rights for a long time. Recently her visa was changed to a visa with work rights, but many other restrictions, making it difficult to obtain work. She has managed to secure some casual work, but it is just enough to pay her rent and bills. She does not receive Medicare and must pay for her medical bills with no subsidy. The room that she is renting has a queen size mattress. She is in need of bed linen at the moment - queen bed sheets and a doona or blanket.
