This young woman has recently moved to Australia and is currently residing in transitional accommodation after leaving an abusive family situation. She has little to no community connections and has faced significant mental health struggles due to the threats to her safety and transition to life in a different country.
With only little English language skills she is finding it difficult in securing employment, despite her continued efforts, hence is relying solely on Centrelink payments to afford daily necessities. Purchasing other items and services that will improve her mental wellbeing and help her feel comfortable in this new space has been challenging due to the lack of finances.
Unlike other young people who have their family to rely on, this young woman has no one to reach out to during times of distress. She is feeling isolated, lonely and overwhelmed with the many changes and life challenges.
