Client's home is severely damaged and requires urgent repairs.
Client has been diagnosed with PTSD. Client resides with her brother who has significant health issues including less than 20% lung capacity. Both client and her brother receive a Centrelink pension. Client and her brother's home was damaged by storm water in 2022. Damage includes cracking to the load bearing brick wall of her home, damage to foundations, cracking along back retaining wall. Client and her brother were uninsured due to the premiums being unaffordable. Client was approved a grant to have the repairs complete at her home. After a long wait, the grant was withdrawn sighting pre-existing damage, the funding body provided propping to client's home to address safety concerns, after an intense journey where it looked as though their home would be condemned, with no safety addressed or funding support to follow. Public Works have outlined the required fixes, immediate need and urgency. Client requires financial assistance for labor and materials to address urgent issues.
