A young mum, still in her teens, has found the courage to flee family violence with her two little ones a curious two-year-old and a baby just seven months old. She’s had to leave everything behind to keep her children safe, starting over in a new town where nothing is familiar.
Now, on her own, she’s learning how to hold her tiny family together while juggling rent, bills, and the everyday challenges of raising two small children. With Christmas approaching, she’s doing everything she can to create a sense of warmth and normalcy for her babies, even though the weight of it all often feels overwhelming.
She’s trying so hard trying to be strong, trying to be brave, trying to build a peaceful life from scratch but it’s a lot for one young mum to carry on her own.
