Client's home flooded in 2022. Access to the property at time of floods was cut off with water flowing through the home. Power into the property became dangerous with connections coming from the main power source being unstable. After the floods the home became full of mould from moisture and no ventilation. Client has lung issues; doctors are requiring him to get a lung transplant. The mould condition became problematic for client due to his medical condition. Client also needed access to freeway to make his specialist appointments, so client and his partner were moved into a pod village to get away from mould and get closer to freeway. Client's partner is 2 months pregnant and the current bread winner for the family as client cannot work with his life-threatening health condition. Client needs to travel at least once a month for specialist appointments. The travel is putting a significant financial strain on the family. Client needs financial assistance for daily living costs.
