My client and her three children are experiencing ongoing hardship due to a history of family and domestic violence, with current safety concerns continuing to impact the family’s stability. My client is actively engaged with family violence services and legal processes, placing significant emotional and practical strain on her capacity to manage daily responsibilities.
As the sole caregiver, my client supports a child with high and ongoing care needs while also managing the complex emotional and behavioural needs of her other children. Limited informal supports have contributed to caregiver burnout and increased stress.
The family is also coping with recent bereavement, compounding my client’s trauma and grief alongside her history of family violence. These cumulative pressures have resulted in significant emotional, psychological, and financial strain, and additional community support is needed to assist the family’s safety and recovery.
