GIVIT
This young person was forced to leave their home at the end of 2024 and had a period of couch-surfing/homelessness until coming into contact with a youth support service. This young person remains ever resilient as they navigate their way through life in a youth refuge, with an impending transition to independent housing. Despite the challenges they have faced, this young person remains committed to completing their Year 12 studies in mid-2025 and is already enrolled to commence a course at CIT immediately after completing Year 12. Their education goals are extremely important in sustaining a positive trajectory; however, full time study coupled with independent living make for considerable financial stress. As this young person takes the leap to independent living they will benefit from the support that the GIVIT community is able to provide.
