I am working with a young Mum of 2 babies who is case managed by Mental health team. Mum is actively engaged with her support services and has managed to rent her own place for the first time. Mum is currently on a single parent payment and is starting 'from scratch' with her new home. Mum has limited family and community connections, though is trying to be the best Mum she can be. Before getting her own place, Mum stayed at a hostel in West End, so is happy to have a place to call home for herself and her babies. After paying bond and rent, Mum has limited funds left. Mum was fortunate to have a bed and a TV given to her and has bought herself a kettle, toaster and food for the house. Any household items would be greatly appreciated and make a huge difference ie. washing machine, fridge, couch, dining table, kids beds and toys, safety gates for front and back stairs ( as the house is a high set).
