We are requesting food and fuel vouchers to support a single mother whose 2-year-old child was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2023 and continues to undergo treatment and procedures.
Mum has spent the past year caring for her child full-time, attending frequent hospital appointments at a hospital Several hours away. My has been managing the physical and emotional demands of childhood cancer with limited communities supports or services in her area. She is unable to work and has very limited financial support.
This family has also experienced domestic and family violence, which has added further pressure during an already difficult time.
Food and fuel vouchers would help ease the immediate financial strain, allowing mum to focus on caring for her child without the added stress of covering everyday essentials and transport to treatment.
