Crisis accommodation that supports people experiencing homelessness and helps prevent and minimize rough sleepers
This crisis accommodation supports people who are experiencing homelessness. It offers accommodation so that they aren't sleeping rough but also supports them in securing long-term permanent accommodation. They are supported in a holistic approach that tries to connect them with the needed services relating to things such as addiction or mental health support. This crisis accommodation provides connections and security. It is a community where the residents support each other. Part of this experience is cooking together and with staff. Due to an increased demand of people needing support, financial allocations for repairs or improvements can be challenging. We are trying to find support in replacing the communal oven. This will improve the quality of services the people receive and allow the residents to continue to share meals and cook together, as well as improve their living skills for when they're living independently.
