Single mother of 4 needs assistance following fires
QLD Bushfires 2023
Single mother of four who lost her home and all belongings in the October 2023 Tara bushfires. She was only able to evacuate with her children, some clothes, and important documents. After 9 days, she was informed that nothing was salvageable. Despite the loss, she has continued working full-time as a support worker in Tara, maintaining a routine for her children while living in temporary accommodation. She applied for structural assistance but was denied due to the property being in her father's name. Since then, she has managed to save and purchase an expandable container home to return to her property. She is now seeking support to help fit out the home with essential items to make it liveable for her and her children.
