We are currently supporting a single mother of four children, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The family has experienced significant adversity, homelessness and family violence, which has contributed to ongoing challenges in meeting the children’s developmental and emotional needs.
Despite these difficult circumstances, this mother continues to demonstrate commitment to her children’s wellbeing. She engages with support services and advocates for resources that will help her children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
We are seeking support to provide this family with desk and chair to do homework and DUPLO Lego for the youngest child, that finds smaller pieces difficult to manage due to fine motor skill challenges. Contributions toward this goal would have a meaningful impact, helping to create opportunities for learning, connection, and joy in a family that has shown extraordinary resilience.
