This couple and their 3 children have lived in their rental (in flood affected area) for 8 years before receiving a no fault eviction notice for their rental. While applying for rentals this couple came to care for their 4 nieces and nephews. During this time the floods inundated their rental, destroying and damaging their belongings.
After multiple months of applying for rentals, they have been successful in gaining long term housing for their extended family. They have covered the cost of bond and advanced rent.
Due to low income and cleaning cost from the flood damage, the family are struggling at this time to make ends meet for their large family.
