GIVIT
A mother, father, and their nine children are currently experiencing homelessness and living in temporary motel accommodation. Due to the size of their family, they are spread across multiple rooms, making it difficult to maintain family connection and routines. With no access to proper cooking facilities, the family relies on takeaway food and simple meals. Despite the parents’ ongoing and determined efforts to secure long-term housing, the uncertainty of their situation has taken a toll on their mental health, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and disheartened by their living conditions. The timing of their homelessness meant they missed the opportunity to apply for Christmas assistance through local charities. As the holiday season approaches, the parents are doing their best to find ways to make Christmas meaningful and joyful for their children, despite the significant challenges they are facing.
