Now in his 60s, this Aussie larrikin is full of charm, humour, and character and about to step into a new chapter: a place to finally call his own.
After decades of living rough, he has secured long-term housing and is preparing to transition into traditional accommodation for the first time in many years. While he has the strength and spirit to make this change, he has very few possessions to help turn a house into a home.
Support from the community will help provide essential items such as furniture, bedding, kitchen basics, and household goods - practical things that create comfort, stability, and a sense of belonging. Just as importantly, this support sends a powerful message: that his new community believes in him and is walking alongside him as he settles in.
