Wynnum Community Place is seeking a passionate and committed dance or exercise teacher to run a free weekly class for vulnerable members of our community, at 55 Berrima Street Wynnum.
Many of the individuals who visit our centre are facing significant challenges—social isolation, mental health struggles, financial hardship, or physical limitations. A regular dance or fitness class would provide more than just physical activity; it would offer a safe space for connection, improve mental and emotional wellbeing, and help participants build confidence and community.
We are looking for a qualified or experienced individual who can commit to one session per week. The class can be dance-based (e.g., Zumba, hip-hop, cultural dance, etc.) or general fitness (e.g., low-impact cardio, strength, stretching, etc.), depending on the teacher’s background.
This small but meaningful commitment could have a huge impact on the lives of those who attend. By creating a consistent, inclusive, and enjoyable activity, you would be helping to foster resilience, health, and hope in our community.
If you're passionate about movement and making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
