This family of four is preparing to welcome another baby while facing an incredibly challenging season. Mum is experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe pregnancy condition that causes constant nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and exhaustion. Unlike typical morning sickness, hyperemesis can be completely debilitating, affecting not only physical health but also mental wellbeing. Daily tasks become overwhelming, energy is scarce, and simply getting through the day can feel impossible. Recently, one of the children was diagnosed with a disability, and the family is still learning how to navigate the added emotional, practical, and care demands that come with it. Soon, dad will undergo surgery, leaving mum to manage the household and children alone for several days with no additional support, despite her own significant health challenges.
