I am writing on behalf of our client, an elderly Indigenous woman who has been experiencing homelessness for several months. The client is currently receiving support through our outreach program.

The client’s mobile phone has recently been damaged, leaving her unable to communicate with family, emergency services, or her support networks. Due to her current health concerns, including lesions on the brain, it is crucial that she remains contactable in case of medical emergencies and for ongoing coordination with support services.

Access to a working mobile phone would significantly improve her safety, wellbeing, and access to essential services. Being able to contact medical professionals, caseworkers, and emergency responders is vital to ensuring her health and security while she continues to seek stable accommodation.
