Aboriginal woman who has experienced significant trauma and has multiple chronic health conditions.
First Nations Support
An Aboriginal woman with multiple chronic health conditions — including fibromyalgia; bilateral Achilles tendinosis; retrocalcaneal bursitis; and degenerative disc disease in her lower back — is struggling with persistent pain. She is doing her best to work as much as possible to manage her finances, but with several overlapping pain conditions this is becoming increasingly difficult.
She would greatly benefit from a proper supportive pair of shoes, such as Hoka footwear, to help reduce the chronic pain she experiences. Currently, she is relying on a very inexpensive pair from Kmart, which is understandably exacerbating much of her pain. Unfortunately, she is not in a financially secure position to afford new, high‑quality shoes at this time.
