A First Nations mother with a large family is facing imminent homelessness after living in the same home for the past 10 years. The property is being sold, and despite her ongoing efforts to find a new place, securing suitable housing for such a large family has proven extremely difficult. Two of her children live with disabilities, adding further complexity to the search for a safe and accessible home. Support agencies are unable to accommodate the size and specific needs of her household. She is a survivor of domestic violence and is currently experiencing significant economic hardship, which limits her ability to meet basic needs. In this time of crisis, she is seeking support in the form of grocery vouchers to help feed her children while she continues to search for stable housing and access appropriate services.
