Domestic & Family Violence
Zig Zag supports young women and trans, non-binary and gender diverse young people primarily around the issues of homelessness and sexual assault. We provide support and accommodation for those experiencing homelessness or housing instability aged 16 – 25 years and their accompanying children, and free specialist sexual assault support and counselling for those aged 12 – 25 years.
Every year we put on an ‘End of Year party’ that provides a place of celebration, connection, and joy to our Zig Zag community (the young people and their children). A highlight of this event is the free shop of gifts and toys for young people to be gifted; often these are items that are not commonly able to be accessed for themselves, and it is solely run on the donations of our community.
