FLOOD RECOVERY: finally moving out of a pod since the floods
Flooding - NSW - Spring 2022
This household has been living in temporary pod accommodation for the past three years following flood damage. One is full-time carer for their father; dedicating their time and energy to supporting his daily care needs.
With recent support and funding, they have finally been able to restore their home to a liveable standard and are preparing to move back in. Unfortunately, due to the long period of displacement and loss of belongings, they do not have essential bedding to set up their bedrooms.
They are seeking support with new bedding items for two double beds, including sheets and pillows, or a voucher to help purchase these essentials. This support would make a meaningful difference as they take this important step toward re-establishing their home and sense of stability.
