We’re supporting a young single mother of four who has survived domestic violence and is now living in government housing, Their home was inundated by the 2022 flooding and they are still rebuilding their lives following its impact. Her current home is plagued by severe mould inside and out. Despite her repeated pleas, only a partial roof repair was done, and it still leaks. The children have been unwell with the mould and donations from GIVIT supporters earlier in the year have made the home safer for her and her children to live in.
She is finding her feet, building supportive friendships, seeking financial support and working towards her goal of employment. However the family still face economic challenges ahead and we hope your generosity can make Christmas a little brighter for them all.
