I’m currently supporting a woman who was at imminent risk of homelessness. She has complex health challenges, including multiple cancer diagnoses, and was preparing to sleep rough while undergoing chemotherapy. She had arranged some accommodation interstate, but unfortunately that fell through.
Thankfully, things have taken a positive turn and she’s been offered social housing and will be moving in shortly after Christmas. This is an incredible outcome that will allow her to continue her treatment in a safe, stable home of her own. Right now, she needs some assistance to establish her tenancy. Her current rental consumes nearly 90% of her income, and she still needs to cover her final month’s rent. Any support to help her through this transition would be deeply appreciated.
