Resident is caring for x2 teenage sisters following death of mother in 2023. Chronic health conditions mean he is unable to work and is reliant on Centrelink payments for the family. Family experience severe financial distress and after rent payments have extremely limited funds for daily living. One child is diagnosed with ASD and ADHD requiring expensive medical appointments to access assessments and referral for NDIS support. The family live in a remote area with unrelaible phone reception and extremely limited access to support services. Some grocery vouchers and KMART vouchers would significantly reliev some of the stress and anxiety expereinced by this family whose critical daily living needs have left no time for grieving their loss and recovering financially from storm impact.
