Vulnerable older women living alone with extensive injuries to her leg.
GIVIT
This older women experienced extensive injuries to her legs due to a dog attack. After spending 3months in hospital recovering and undergoing various surgeries and treatments she has finally been discharged home. Although this is a great relief, she still has much healing to do with very little supports in the home. One leg is still healing from skin grafts and sores on the sole of her foot, and so, completing everyday tasks has proven difficult. As she lives alone it has become evident that she is at risk of declining in health. To assist with shopping, cooking, bathing, staying connected in the community etc she would greatly benefit from a knee scooter walker.
