Newly arrived refugee family are experiencing financial stress due to cost of living pressures. The father is currently working various jobs to support the family and the mother is a stay-at-home mum who is looking for work. The family are struggling to afford groceries due to their rental payments and are often have to choose between food and having a safe home to raise their family. They have recently been priced out of their area and have now been forced to move away. The children will have to change schools next year and buy new school uniforms and supplies, cutting into their already tight budget. The family are seeking financial support to purchase groceries, Christmas gift and new school supplies for their 2 children who will be starting Grade 2 and 4 at their new school next year.
