Woman arrived in Australia recently. She was living with her husband and had been experiencing serious coercive control from the husband and in-laws.
Woman experienced physical, verbal, emotional, psychological and financial abuse from him. Woman said he has mental health illness and he has support worker that support him 24 hours.
He could not even communicate properly. Woman reported that he has severe mental health condition potentially he has some type of autism that the client was unaware before marriage. She was not allowed to go out by herself.
Now that she has moved here from Interstate she is trying to build her life up again and has no support from community.
