Elderly couples home inundated with flood and rain water
2025 North & Far North QLD Floods
Rain and flood water has entered the home of an elderly couple.
During the flooding, they fled their home with their dog by wading through the flood waters to get to higher ground.
When they come home, they had found that floodwater through the downstairs living area had destroyed their white goods. The roof in one of the living areas had leaked with rainwater, destroying furniture.
They were without power for 8 days and were unable to wash anything.
