2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
The client is a pensioner, living alone. He has heart condition which he is undergoing investigations and receiving temporary treatment. He did not have an aged care package at the time of the flooding and had no services to help him clean up or help get his caravan back to standard. He has received some donations from other groups which have assisted him in getting a new fridge and other small items. As a pensioner he has limited income to purchase other items. He needs a freezer as he purchases food in bulk to help him live within his budget. At this time not having a freezer is making it difficult for him to do this as he can only do small shops costing him more money in food and fuel costs. As he is having to attend more health appointments which is increasing his costs for fuel and also specialists fees. A freezer will help him to be able to reduce his living costs. He has had some help with the doing up of his caravan but needs to pay for some tiles (8sqm) and a tiler.
