A young woman is rebuilding her life after leaving a domestic violence situation.
She recently made the courageous decision to return to her mum’s home for safety and support. Since then, she has been focusing on her mental health, seeking stability, attending appointments, and gradually regaining her strength.
While staying with her mum, she continues to pay rent on her own home to keep it secure for when she is ready to return. This means she is carrying two sets of expenses: her own rent as well as contributing board at her mum’s and the financial pressure has been significant.
This Christmas, she hopes for a moment of relief and an opportunity to create some small, positive change after a very difficult year. Support would help her experience a Christmas that feels safe, kind, and hopeful as she continues her journey of healing.
